2021 Native Plant sales

Two Native Plant Sales Happened in 2021

This year we limited our sales to pre-orders and sold native plants only. Our smaller March Sale offered mostly bareroot tree seedlings which needed to go into the ground right away. Our large April Native Plant Sale attracted twice as many pre-orders as usual. We sold over 1800 plants and offered 145 species. We thank our nursery sources, Bosky-Dell-Natives, Sauvie Island Natives, and Scappoose Bay Watershed Council Nursery, for another year of support and quality plants.

Here are some comments from 2021 customers:

“Thank you for this valuable community service!”

“We (i.e., our landscaping) are a work in progress! We so appreciate the opportunity to get native plants so close to home!”

“THANK YOU, thank you, Skyline Grange Angels, for dealing with all the travails and tribulations that 2020/21 threw at you (and the poor plants)!!

I GREATLY appreciate your efforts! My garden and our farm are very grateful, and we will be there next year and the year after, etc., to receive more plants … I will let you know how my back feels after I prepare all the areas and dig all the holes for my order…my own fault for ordering large, of course.”

“Wow – what a year! Thank you for all the work you do to make this sale happen!”

“I pre-ordered from your sale instead of one closer to home because I appreciated your detailed Native Plant Descriptions. It was very helpful. Thank you.”

“Thanks for all your hard work.”

Tree and Plant Sales in 2022

2022 will be our 17th year of Plant Sales. Species are from licensed nurseries and we obtain a Temporary Nursery Sales License from Oregon Department of Agriculture.

March 2022: Primarily Tree Seedlings

We tentatively plan on a small March Sale offering native bareroot tree seedlings. This probably will be by pre-order only.

April 2022: Tree & Native Plant Sale

We have tentatively scheduled this large sale for April 1-2, 2022. Hopefully the pandemic will be under control and we can return to similar sales we’ve had in the past with 2 sections: native and bareroot.

The Native Section

  • Over 100 species
  • Pre-order or in-person sales.
  • DOWNLOAD our “Native Plant Descriptions”

The Bareroot Section

  • Includes shrubs and fruit-bearing, shade, and ornamental trees.
  • Though not native, the species in the Bareroot Section are compatible with our native PNW habitat.
  • Not available by pre-order as we will not know the specific varieties we can obtain until just days before the sale.
