2026 BRINGS NEW BEGINNINGS

We now have an improved space for the community to gather. By January 1, 2026, our long anticipated Accessibility Project will be finished. The premises reopen after 4 long years of planning and 4 interminable months of construction.

The solution to our failing front foundation wall was dramatic with the excavation of a huge 36’x15’x10’ hole and the endless waiting for the concrete to reach its required strength. Less physically dramatic, but so necessary was the installation of many large and small safety and accessibility improvements, the biggest being the first restroom ever on the main level and next biggest being the platform structure leading from a code-compliant second exit to the driveway for safe egress in an emergency.

Until next summer the fields will be off limits. They have been hydroseeded but remain muddy and soggy. We look forward to serious landscaping and the use of the fields surrounding the hall. Attracting pollinators and planting native species will be priorities in landscaping.

Come see the improvements. Go to ACCESSIBILITY PROJECT for more details.

A $200,000 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN

Bids for our Accessibility Project came in $200,000 higher than the amount we had confidently budgeted for and expected. After judicious consideration and some more scaling back, the decision was made to start the Project immediately before the rainy season began in earnest, before our permit expired, and before building codes got even more restrictive. Two major factors contributed to this decision. First, a community member stepped forward offering a loan to bridge any financial deficiency at the completion of the Project. Second, we had faith that our community and Grange members would step forward to donate generously to raise the needed $200,000 because they value having a place to gather that is safe, accessible, and local.

Since its dedication in 1954, Skyline Grange Hall has stood as a place of connection — where neighbors celebrate milestones, families gather, and community life thrives. If you appreciate this gathering place, consider joining community and Grange members to make a donation to complete the funding of its Accessibility Project and other capital improvements. In doing so, you will provide lasting benefits to your community in a very local, meaningful way. DONATE
